E-Bike Rentals
One of our newest on-site amenities available to guests is our e-bike rentals. At Cougar Ridge, we have a fleet of e-bikes now available as an add-on to your stay. These bikes are designed for enjoying a casual ride. The swept-back handlebars and low-step frame, along with the multi-geared power of an all-terrain bike make them versatile and comfortable.
E-bikes are a great, more accessible way to enjoy a bike ride in Torrey, Utah or in nearby Capitol Reef National Park. They are easy to ride, even for beginners—if you can ride a bike, you can ride an e-bike! While you’ll still need to peddle, e-bikes help make it easier to go up steep grades or to power over long distances. This makes them a great choice for those who don’t bike often or anyone who could use a little extra help covering long distances. The low-step frame makes mounting and dismounting a breeze.
E-bikes are available for 2-hour, half-day, and full-day rentals. The prices for our e-bike rentals are:
- 2 hours: $40 per e-bike
- Half-Day: $60 per e-bike
- Full-Day: $100 per e-bike
E-biking in Capitol Reef National Park
The e-bike fleet at Cougar Ridge can each reach a top speed of 20 mph. They can cover between 25 and 45 miles on a single charge.
The entrance to Capitol Reef National Park is just 5.5 miles from Cougar Ridge. E-bikes are allowed in the national park. You can ride on designated roads in the park, as well as on the trail that runs between the park’s visitor center and the Fruita Campground. Bikes and e-bikes are not permitted on any other trails.
If you plan to ride to the park on your e-bike rental, we recommend at least a half-day rental. A full-day rental will give you more time to explore the park!
The town of Torrey, Utah is just 1.5 miles from Cougar Ridge and is the perfect destination for a shorter ride. Take a cruise into town and grab lunch or do a little shopping before riding back to Cougar Ridge, enjoying some stunning desert views along the way!
Complimentary Breakfast
Another new amenity that’s now available to guests of one of the best Southern Utah resorts is our complimentary breakfast! While we don’t have an on-site restaurant located at Cougar Ridge just yet, we do offer complimentary daily breakfast spreads to guests of the Lodge and the Villas.
Breakfast is served daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in our reception center. Stop by for a hot breakfast and some coffee to fuel up before a day of fun!
A Brand New Pool
At Cougar Ridge, we’re excited to announce another brand new amenity coming to our resort soon; a brand-new pool! The pool at Cougar Ridge is expected to open as early as 2023, and is currently under construction.
